If you think you know what S.T.E.A.M.Fest is all about – you may be surprised at the sweeping changes in the show for 2012. Artifice Club Founder DJ Doctor Q, who has partnered with The Academy Theatre for this year’s Steampunk Theater Entertainment Arts and Music Festival, says that it’s a whole new vibe brought by new organizers.

“Thanks to the support from the City of Avondale Estates, we’ve been able to bring in some of the best performers from around the country – some big names in the steampunk scene: This Way to the Egress, Unwoman, Penny Dreadful Productions – and so much more.”

What you need to know for Mechanical Masquerade this Saturday:

Workshop spaces are still available!  RSVP Here if you are interested.

Doors open at 5PM! And we rock it until 2AM. You can Download the Full Schedule via THIS LINK

Dress Code!  Our dress code for the event is Formal Wear and Mask. This means dress your best (no casual attire) and conceal your identity.  The alternative for those wishing to go mask-less (mind you, a mask on a stick opera-style is perfectly fine), those in elaborate steampunk attire, or dressed as a paranormal or fantastic creature are exempt from the mask requirement. For more, see our post from Emilie P. Bush on What to Wear, or go down to Costumes, Etc. for any last minute needs.

Drinks?  Our event is sponsored by Hop City Beer & Wine.  As such, it is BYOB with a Hop City receipt.  For those unable to make it, we will have beverages and snacks at our concessions stand.  See our post on our Food & Beverages Here.

Lastly: Be sure to bring a coat, our event is indoor and outdoor, so be sure to prepare for the chill as you listen to ghastly tales around the fire; and please try to carpool and remember we will have supervised $2 parking.

That does it, enjoy the Masquerade and have a great time!

We would like to thank all those who applied to bring their caravans and airships down to our show to display their wares to one and all.  As such, we would like to think you all would like to know what all to expect at the Mechanical Masquerade's Bizarre of the Bizarre!  For links to find out more information, see our Sponsors and Vendors Page!  Without further ado, here are our exhibitors:
